We had a great time meeting one another. This year we will be doing something a little different. We will be asking those that want to participate to write what we call an insight. You dont have to write an insight you can just attend if you like.

Please go to this website http://sites.google.com/site/midwestkmcommunity/ for more information about this years symposium. I hope you will consider coming and participating.

The link to the meeting invitation can be found here. Please RSVP and let us know if you would like to write an insight or just attend.

The collection of insights will be published in a book after the symposium. All accepted insights will have the name of the individual and contact information.

IF you would like to submit an Insight(s) for the book, the entry date is July 26th, 2009. You may write more than one insight.

General information about the Symposium

Activities at the Symposium
The symposium will be centered on review and presentation of a selected subset of insights submitted. We have established a template for the insights. Each insight is 1 page in length.

How to Write your Insights
Please write these insights as if your insight was going to be published in the Harvard Business Review. Make sure they are easy to read, no lingo, and for a global business audience. Your submission will be reviewed and out of selected to be part of our final product. Our goal is to obtain 101 insights. The event should prove to be a unique experience and provide many ground breaking insights.

The published Insight audience:
Business managers, owners, CEO etc.,.... not KM community. Please write like you are going to publish in Harvard Business Review.

Template will be provided:
There will be a link provided for each individual that wants to write an insight, so we can keep track of one copy and not use email for review. Please visit the website to get started.

Purpose:
To publish a book of 101 Actionable Knowledge Management Insights. We will publish this book through LuLu.com and also make the book available as a PDF.

Symposium Presentations:
We are hoping that we have 101 insights. The intention for the symposium is to present our insights either as one group, or in tracks. More information to come on the structure. It will depend on the number of Insights.

Presentation Time:
The time allotment for each presentation is 10 minutes.
